    About grenades

    So , many people complain about grenades. I belong to these people but I don't know if I wanna change it. I'm mad at faber for 5 minutes when he spams me like a noob and I try to make silly remarks ( like this one ) , to make him quit even taking that weapon but , no spam no fun .

    But I'm asking you , what do we do with that weapon ?

    dont change them, i like them as they are
    maybe u could decrease the ammo from 10 to 5 in serious difficulty?

    I agree with Phantom, but not with FG about the 4th option. If the nades won't even explode on the walls then who will they hit ?? They'll bounce like hell all over the map and hit everything you didn't expect. If there is friendly fire, grenades could become extremely abused and maybe ammo pack should be decreased to even less than 5 ?

    Yeah true... I have no problems with grenades exploding on walls...

    In Quake 3 grenades don't explode on walls and they don't bounce since you can't throw them very far...But this weapon is totally useless then

    I've mentioned this friendly fire/ spam issue in the other thread , if spammers don't have to worry about spamming their teammates they would spam even more.

    I'm for increasing the delay between 2 grenade shots , maybe 500ms ( I can't figure a good value without testing ) .

    Decreasing the number of grenades in a ammo pack is definitely possible

    Just remove them for good. Or better yet make it server configurable. Let the server decide if he wants to remove them or not...


    I'd never run my servers with grenades if I had to chance to remove them.


    That way we could have at least one spam-free server...

    Let server choose to what weapon change grenades. Zlo had that for all weapons... if its not big work do that Also this drop health feature was interesting on his tdm mod.

    You should also make a drop weapon thing.. when you run out of ammo you drop the weapon (the same when you die, you drop the weapon your holding when u die...)

    Nothing, just create servers with ammo..
    It's rare to find more then 5 grenades while playing in a 6 players LT match

    Letting the server choose which weapon replace grenade launcher is not big work... But it sucks for grenade users seriously , I don't wanna do that

    We'll see the poll results...

    LOL No way I do that, for two reasons :

    1) In sam when you pick up a weapon , there's ammo inside
    2) It's sometimes real tricky to get a weapon and ammo in sam , many people constantly whine "no weapon noob"

    I see , you know what could be better ?

    You kill a player with knife you get 100 Armor
    You kill a player with pistols you get the heart
    You kill a player with sniper you get 50HP
    You kill a player with shotgun, or rocket you get 25HP
    You kill a player with minigun, lazer you get 10HP
    You kill a player with grenades you get - 80 HP ( ok this one is a joke )

    But it's maybe all these features which make sync problems
