Best D2 DM Server (26 slots, no block, no spawn protection) - 77.74.195.248:27070
Best European Aim DM server (don't go there until you're good or they'll ban you) - 87.98.139.120:27045
Only handguns DM (my personal favorite, perfect for practice) - 77.74.195.250:27015
Alternate Attax DM (good level dm server running nuke, inferno, D2, and train ) - 82.149.234.206:27015
Two only-HS D2 Dm servers (use deagle or famas in burst-fire mode.) 87.98.139.119:27035 | 217.11.249.92:27192
I'd say if you're a beginner, play a lot on the only handguns DM with deagle like it's shotty trouble, don't run and shoot at the same time, meaning don't rush towards or backwards your opponent as soon as you see him. You need to strafe like in sam but the difference is that you need to stop moving for a second everytime you fire. Once you win all your games in this server, in other words, once you win all your games when I'm not there, you can start learning how to play with other weapons. Because it takes a whole lot more time to learn how to control the recoil of the m4 for example if your aim is crap because most of the time it's the first bullet impact that's gonna decide how you're gonna spray.
If you want I'll give you a demo of one of my warm up sessions to show you.
Yeah at least on this one it's the other way around, noobs get punished instead of good players. The main reason is that the server is 12 slots only for about 50 000 players so it's very tricky to get a slot if you have a bad comp so they don't want noob to spoil one.
I can't even play on a normal public server anymore.. Not only because the age average in CS:S is lower than in 1.6 but also because the radar is a lot more accessible. And yet, 95% of people you meet in pubs can't decipher it and remain surprised everytime you make out an enemy they don't.
Ok I'll try to record my next one
I have 2 questions
First which is a good crosshair size for 1440 x 900 resolution and how to set it up?
And when I aim at a player in CSS the name and team appear just under the player, in the center of the screen, in CS 1.6 the name appears in the low left corner.. is there a way to make it like in CSS?
Crosshair is personal preference, use what suits you best, 1600 is a good choice
hud_centerid "0" will display the name in the left bottom corner
I am using 2600 in CSS and I feel good with it, but in 1.6 the crosshair is too big... What's the command to resize it btw, its different from cl_crosshairscale...
"cl_crosshair_size small / medium / large"
+ autosize, but yeah you can't scale the crosshair in 1.6 like in css, that's one of the reasons I use a default small crosshair in source
Oooh that kinda suxx coz I am using the smallest one, but still too big.. Well I guess I'll get used to it
Yeah but it's fine by me I hate tiny crosshairs
