yes its really that easy to get some extra vacationGerman cop wins extra holiday for time spent getting dressed
A German policeman has nabbed a whole extra week’s holiday because it takes him 30 minutes a day getting in and out of his uniform.
The clock-watching officer of the law, Martin Schauder, calculated that it took him 15 minutes to don his uniform in the morning and 15 minutes to take it off again at the end of the day.
It total, he reasoned, that was an extra 45 hours unpaid overtime per year.
Well, that wasn’t acceptable to the 44-year-old law enforcer, based in Muenster, so he took the matter to the city’s administrative court – and won a whole extra week’s holiday to make up for his lengthy robing and de-robing.
The list of apparel he has to put on and take off, is as follows:
One regulation undershirt.
One pair of trousers.
Belt holding truncheon.
Handcuffs.
Weapon and gas canister.
Overshirt.
Tunic.
Boots.
Protective kneepads (when on riot duty).
Gloves.
What a traumatic endeavour it must be! Justice has surely been served.
Apparently, the officer had argued for several months that all this faffing around with clothing should be compensated with either a pay rise or more holiday. He went to the courts because his superiors argued, some would say quite reasonably, that putting on the regulation uniform was all part of the job.
One legal expert warned that the case could lead to many more clothing-based cases.
'We could, in theory, have judges arguing for extra time off because of the amount of time it takes them to robe up, or receptionists claiming overtime for lipstick application as they have to look good for clients,' said legal expert Joachim Wulfmeyer.
many girls might be considering it because of all the time it takes for make up and shit
