    2000€ new gfx card :))

    Kidding.
But since it's getting almost impossible to even read on a forum with my broken 9800GTX I must get a new card. I don't play any games and don't need a 1337 card. I thought somewhere around 150€ or a little bit more should be enough. My old 9800 did everything I needed btw.

I found 3 in my price range. Any advice why I should buy one over the other here, or any other card you would recommend?
The links are to a swedish website, but you'll understand the numbers and shit.

    GeForce GTX650Ti
    XFX RADEON HD7850
    AMD HD7770

GeForce GTX 650 ti is probably the best card for the 100-150 euros range. It's powerful and has some extra features, like directx 11, cuda and physx.

I would also say 650Ti but this 128 bit thing really dissapointed me ... 550 Ti had 192 bit
7770 is definitely the worse one from these 3 ... But if you're not interested in games, this might be ok

    7850 looks like really good : D
    But in Russia it's ~ 200 $ while 650 is ~ 150 $ ..

What CPU do you have, Petter?

I can recommend HD 7850 from Sapphire (Sapphire is the best Radeon manufacturer, like EVGA is the best GeForce manufacturer ).

It's quiet, cool, and has a good price/performance ratio. It should cover all of your needs

I was laughing at your GTX 580 and HD 7850 comparison. GTX 580's real competition is the HD 7900 Series, not HD 7800

You're well known because of your graphics cards knowledge, how could you made a mistake like this?

    AMD Phenom 9950 Quad-Core

Since Sam is the only game I'll install, I think a "decent" gfx card should be more than enough for me.

7950 and 7970 are so much better than gtx580,7850 in oc is pretty close to gtx 580,sometimes better and have +512mb of ram, even if i dont follow anymore gpu's like before i know this from benchmark.Crysis example : https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7850_HD_7870/13.html,i f u followed me instead of taking an 5870 deluxe u had now 2*6870,with double performance

Just take a cheap Nvidia 440 or something. Or 540, if you can't get the older ones. (Older ones are cheaper, and since you don't play a lot of games, why not get the cheaper one? )

Yes you are right. I might get a stronger PC late next year anyway so no reason to spend any money now.
The only thing I need from the card is to edit videos, HD support and Sam. I'll check those cards instead and in that price range.

AMD cards are the best if u have a low budget, yes

and if u combine an nvidia GTX card with an i7 later on, u'll be save for a couple of years

hm sad. just stay a "legend" on gz these days. inactive since decades or activ as "Alias" with vpn lol.
