Isn't actually 4x Titan Black to 2x Titan a downgrade? Or I read something wrong?

i don't think so since those blacks were mainly designed for lower resolutions than 4K, talking about bandwith speed and vram size...
besides that the titan x supports dx 12 and has a way better efficiency and they should perfom about the same if not better as 4x titan blacks in 4K

So I read it wrong. Titan X. This explains alot. I also think it was worth the upgrade since it supports 4K well.

besides Titan Black's 6GB VRAM vs Titan X's 12GB was an obvious choice for me

The main reasons for these changes are 4K gaming (new monitor on it's way) and advanced 3D rendering

I never said I wanted to change my GPU, I want to change the CPU and the motherboard, DDR4 RAM, a bigger SSD and change my PC case, nothing else

960 and Xonar Essence STX II does all the job I need for now

ah ye and modular BeQuiet PSU too, all my system will feature BeQuiet, MSI and HyperX..

it's just that since my failed OC attempt i'm left with some crappy ASrock motherboard and I don't like it, so to change the mobo I'll need new CPU, and the one i'm looking for isn't compatible with DDR3 RAM so one more good reason to upgrade everytihing

if i was you i'd sell the complete system excluded storage drives for 550€.. add 400€ and you can get a decent skylake rig with a gtx 970... (new)

BeQuiet Modular PSU is complete useless to small budget builders, save those extra bucks instead!

6600k + asus board = 380€
16gb ddr 4 hyperX = 100€
zotac gtx 970 = 340€

=820€ main parts + case,psu, cooler = 130€

So u get a high end pc with actual components for just 950.. sell old stuff and just add 400€ u see?



in the end its like a 30% performance increase for 400€.. it's up to you now

yeah and you can trust me the sound is absolutely amazing, the sound rendering quality is above everything else I could hear before (best with adequate headphones or speakers of course)

by the way this sound card makes bigger audio systems possible, I'm gonna order an amplifier this month... I don't have enough money for now for the speakers but I got some old samsung speakers from a dead home cinema... guess it'll do the job until I can buy real hi-fi speakers

@amco: 550€ you're sick, here in france people is so poor they wouldn't buy anything if it doesn't cost one symbolic euro. Nowdays my system's value is zero (excluding GPU, sound card and Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler)

The system he specified is on the highest price/performance ratio.

I wouldn't buy modular PSU anymore if I wanted to make a complete gaming rig. For example my actual modular PSU has all the cables attached... lol and this system ain't really a performance gaming rig. It made sense when I used to have GT440 - didn't need additional pci-e power cable but on gtx 660... Just save these euros on quality pc case.

I'd go for XFX Core psu with power calculated for your rig.
