I really need a script

Hey,

I really need a script to solve a problem.
.. sam crashes and it happens more and more

Obviously these crashes suck.. but when I restart the game all my settings are gone.
It even tells me sam is starting for the first time.

Can someone make me a script (on a button) to restore all settings?
- crosshair size = 0.3
- only sam = 1 (I know, but I just hate those kleer kurts)
- sound = off
- screensize = 1024x768
- gfx_fgamma = 2
- lensflares = 0
- shadow = simple (one light)
- hud showtime = 1
- hud showlatency = 1
- hud shownetgraph = 1

Maybe a default settings button and a adjusted settings button is needed.
Since with gamma I always have to start with saying gamma = 1 than adjust it to gamma = 2 (otherwise it fails)

Hmm did you try to reinstall the game? it should solve the problem with first time opening

Start the game, change your settings, close the game, then start it again. Closing the game the normal way (via Quit in the menu) saves your persistent symbols

Have you installed those dlls ? If you did, you have to install original dlls as fast as possible

Poli updated the dlls and added autoscreenshot, crashes are fixed now and game feels much better,
Interesting for germans and dutch players who play with low pings

Might have downloaded that, but never had problems with it.

Because the problems started with a weird error message (about not having enough memory) and I didn't change anything in the game for a long time, I doubt that the game itself is messed up. Yet I bought the game 3 times and should have the CD somewhere, got some backups that contain the game and can use the files GraphX send me

But I will let it crash some more and make screenshots from the error messages. Might be usefull if others experience the same thing. (maybe you know more about this Zeo?)

i think it's some memory or cpu usage problem isn't it? Check memory and cpu usage when you run ss, run windowed so you'll have real time stats

also read somewhere on the internet about virtual memory, perhaps you have not enough virtual mem
