According to Rule: "The rules can be changed during the tourney only in extraordinary situations AND only if 80% of tournament participants agree on the change (AND = both requirements must be met)" I set a vote for a rule change.Double eliminations in 2vs2 tourney would result in the same ammount of games like in the last 1vs1 tourney - 15.
Actually it's 7.
15 games passed by pretty quick in the 1v1 tourney. So this one could work out too.
Ofcourse according to the rules, 80% of players must agree first in order to change the rules. If we analyse extraordinary situation, at least 2-3 members must make a walkover (refuse single eliminations) so the only way to keep the tourney alive will be making double eliminations. So all in all the first variable counts the most: 80% of players must agree first in order to change the rule.
The actual Rule: Tournament type: Single eliminations
Replacement rule: Tournament type:Double eliminations
Why Double Eliminations?
1. More balanced tourney
2. Loosers will still be able to play games vs lower skilled opponents and if they win, they might face their winners again and maybe win.
3. More games means more fun for all
4. It will be possible to make winner team statistics from 1st place to 8th place (this system would be much more balanced instead of counting frags from each match, since a strong team can make a huge difference in frags vs a weak team, while the second weak team might loose vs weaker team and will get less frag difference).
As we can see, only superlatives.
