    AP_1936 (Xbox hud and more!)

    We released 10 days ago! Time for our 9th update! It's going really fast, and we're making very good progress so far, thanks to all of your bug reports and feedback. This update in particular should interest some of you campaign lovers as well as hardcore deathmatch lovers. We'll continue to improve these new features through your feedback!

    • Added a version of the Xbox hud as a Hud theme!
    • Added sharp turning to third person mode (this is somewhat limited in some corner cases and still a work in progress)
    • Added the option "third person fixed crosshair" (console variable plr_bThirdPersonFixedCrosshair) which fixes the crosshair in place instead of jumping around on ledges (this causes some crosshair inaccuracies though, sharp turning must be enabled for this to work)
    • Added higher quality Netricsa message images (contributed by Mental4)
    • Fixed autodownloader downloading incredibly slow, it should be 50 times faster now
    • Autodownloader now downloads to the "Downloaded" folder of the game, so it's easier to keep track of autodownloaded files
    • Fixed problem where the 17th player in a match (and beyond) would just stand still without being able to move
    • Fixed some grammatical and technical errors in the game options menu
    • Added a 4mbit network configuration script
    • Fixed a bug where weapons would continue to fire in cooperative survival
    • Fixed a bug with achievement icons (they are cached in the Achievements folder of the game now)
    • Fixed mouse cursor disappearing in menus when Xbox controller is plugged in
    • Fixed problems with different scales of DPI on Windows
    • Fixed shadow issues on Hole
    • Fixed Road Runner achievement not working
    • Added a chat sound volume option to audio options
    • Fixed some problems with not-disappearing items after picking them up
    • Fixed a crash at the end of The Second Encounter that was possible in cooperative
    • Fixed a problem with xbox controllers and sharp turning
    • Added gam_bLoadOldGames console variable to allow the loading of old savegames and demos (Note: unsupported, please do not report bugs when you use this setting!)
    • Sharp turning is now toggled in the game options or via console variable plr_bSharpTurning instead of player profiles
    • Increased visibility distance of player death view

    ok i just played and i wanna ask is it a bug or a new thing. My screen turns and only second later my sam turns, is it suppose to be like that ? and the camera literly goes to the side of sam so it aint a lag or anything so i wanna know if theres a way to make it go away or is that a bug that came about with the patch

    hm sad. just stay a "legend" on gz these days. inactive since decades or activ as "Alias" with vpn lol.

    Could you show a video of this?

    Or do you mean that Sam's body rotates a little later than your camera does? That's sharp turning for third person.

    man what happened to mouse? now it's changed in worse, it's like crosshair is too fast and sam is delayed in turning; now i rly cant play even in my server, wtf?? i have a sort of mouse lag, cant explain
    i think a test would be needed before updating

    This is the sharp turning you are seeing, which is supposed to eliminate mouse input lag. Is Sam's player model turning slowly irritating?

    yes zeo told me it is :/ however i played with it and i kinda like it lel

    Good update, I really love Xbox hud, though weapon icons are low-res and should be moved a little : P
    But the sharp turning .. Reminded me of 1.50 version, but feels a bit different from 1.50's one. Okay, maybe it looks cool but it's really laggy if you try it online .. Offline too, a bit, because the screen is shaking either. >_< This must be turned off by default, just my own opinion !

    it's not irritating, it's unplayable that way because isnt coordinate.
    During my test some client joined and said to turn off sharp turning, and it came back as it was before but still i have mouse delay, i hope it's still under work.

    did we only have this useless update because one player of this game was too stupid to install his mouse driver?

    Sharp turning should really be turned off, it's way too laggy online ( = I concur with what Zeo said about it)
