hm sad. just stay a "legend" on gz these days. inactive since decades or activ as "Alias" with vpn lol.
so many cards switched during the last months
Cards:------GTX 780 Ti -> GTX 980 -> GTX 780 -> GTX 980 Ti -> R9 290X -> RX 480 -> GTX 780
purchased: (^new) 440€-------345€---------135€--------400€-----------65€--------160€----------85€
sold:-----------------360€-------360€---------175€--------400€----------161€--------210€---------current
so, i am back to the 780 again, missing the RX 480 so much.. what a great card
currently looking for a 1080 or 1070 (350€ or 250€)

i use it in 4k lol, paid 80 euro isnt so bad
my wife got that upgrade too, she now has a Metis ITX (44€) System:
i5 3470 (50€)
8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz (red) (28€)
Z77 ASUS ITX board (55€)
from 65€ ASUS GTX 760 2GB to 80€ PNY XLR8 GTX 960 2GB
256GB OCZ Trion (42€)
Antec Earthwatts PSU 380W (18€)
pretty solid system and the 960 runs 20 (!!!) degree cooler than the GTX 760 wtf

Tell a pussy boy that I said, "Step back"
Motherfucker wanna talk, but I'm gettin' the bag
I see the reason that the motherfuckers takin' it bad
They know they never wanna be the one to step like that
Revenge on my chest, I stay in my best
They stayin' mad that I be winning, do I make you upset?
I'm makin' moves, and now they comin'
'Cause I'm gettin' some bread
But you weren't there when I was broke
And now you think that we friends
Forget it
Am I the only one who has 960 which is 4Gb? ;D
Btw, 1050Ti (new) is much more friendly to buy, it has totally same performance like 960 (+/- 10 % or smth), but much more cheap, + lover tdp, I shouldn't have bought 960 1,5 years ago ._.
solid as a rock, cold as ice and dark as the night (zeo) (c) amco 2023
maybe you have twice the vram, but i am sure you payed 3 times more than i did
the 1050 Ti beats the 960 in most games afaik, mostly because of driver optimisation..
talking about raw performance, the 1050 Ti is not a signifficant upgrade over the 960
once the 1050 Ti gets older, u will see the 960 will suddenly beat the 1050 Ti :d
Nvidia are bastards, as soon as they release new cards they release new drivers which bottleneck older cards to make newer cards look so much better to prevent making a fool of themselves
Whats the difference between 2 and 4 gb anyway you might ask?
in heavily loaded scenes it might happen your card gonna drop fps, for example the 2gb loses 10 fps and the the 4gb loses 7, that's all
depending on the price it doesn't make much sense to purchase low tier cards with max ram as it still takes certain speed to handle (192 Bit is very poor to load up 4GB lol)
if you prefer more ram always get a class above, like in that case a GTX 970, it performs 40% faster for 30% more cost

it's nothing special to purchase a GTX 1080, but it's special if you get a used model that's 2 months old with warranty package and bill.
An eVGA GTX 1080 FTW version for just 370€ (!!!!)
It's an amazing quality card and you can even switch RGB lights next to the fans by using a certain software.
So everything is stock right here attached below:
(I am pretty sure that i will sell the card as soon as the price suits me )

now i sold the 1080 for 510€ and back to 105€ GTX 780 amp!
makes 130€ profit from the 1080 means free 780 and little pocket money
