A couple new GZ servers?

I've been talking with a few people when we reached the idea that we could eventually afford a couple new servers for GZ, in order to offer a viable alternative to ostap's crap.

Serious Sam is dead, but at least two remaining servers for the community would be a good idea. So I did this thread and this poll to see who would be interested.

It's kinda obvious that GZ (owners) won't spend money for a dead game.. that's why I would also need to know, who within the community would be ready to contribute financially on these servers?

I would have played some teamgames on a good server, also wouldn't be against to spend a few nights in a semi-full ST server hosted by GZ again.
I'm sorry I'm not able to finance though.

Still, we should try to find someone who'd be ready to host a few servers for us.. and who'd have a fair upload broadband to keep the servers stable

That is a good question actually... I'm not sure but if we're running servers through a patched private machine, the servers should be visible, but if we afford services prestation that'll be using the original game (not patched) it won't be visible.
I'm gonna get clear informations about that though.



Despite I retired from the game since 2 years, I'd play from time to time and I'd be ready to contribute for the servers.

50mbit down and 15mbit up combined with a hyperthreading i7 or Xeon should be able to handle 4 dedicated servers without problems i guess

I don't think it's a good idea, sure, A'dam policies have changed but we basically have all the servers we need (if they don't start removing more of them, I heard a few servers have been taken out, for example FE GZ Fragmatch which I made).
