Italy - Canada 2-7
Canadians were a bit tired, I could see it. With normal performance they should have scored 10 goals.

Switzerland - Finland 0-5
Same for Finland. But gotta understand, most of these guys came from NHL (USA/Canada) yesterday.. ("Time-lag", "jet-lag", whatever you call it and busy schedule in NHL.) Well they scored the necessary goals..
Teemu Selänne 2+1
Olli Jokinen 2+1

Germany - Czech Republic 1-4
As expected.


POOL B:

Kazakstan - Sweden 2-7
Solid effor from Sweden. Nothing surprising.

Russia - Slovakia 3-5
This match was a pretty tight one. Gaborik, that damn fast skater, scored 2 goals in the late 3rd period.

Latvia - USA 3-3
A surprise. USA should have won this one.

I heard some good players of Finland won't play the olimpic games, right? And in Sweden didn't play Peter Forsberg, if he had played, the score would have been better for Sweden

Well, Miikka Kiprusoff, NHL top goalie didn't come.. And one of the top offensive defensemen in NHL Joni Pitkänen also didn't come. And few other players. :/

Well, they do have few good NHL players. But both Marco Stürm and Jochen Hecht had to miss Olympics due to injury.

Yeah, we won 6-0.

But gotta say, Italy had a good defensive game.. And their goalie played very well. Shots on goal were 51-16 for Finland..
