please read the whole topic next time, i can do that you need to have more than # ping and more than # seconds .
and why?? pls tell us a GOOD reason..
the higher 1 players' ping, the higher the ping of the rest. of course, if someone has 100 and some other guy has 200 and goes to 250, the other plyer wont get 150, but just 110 or something.
YS what about a chat ban ? If somone is spamming some useless messages or trashing, some GUI owner could give him a ban for chating :) possible ?
cant say ive noticed pings going up if someone joins with a high ping,however i have noticed the server getting laggy when people join with high a ping,the idea is good but sams netcode is so unstable ppl would get kicked,ive noticed ping jumping high for a moment when people join the server,how would you get around this?.sorry but i wouldnt use this even if it worked,its not very fair on players that have crap internet,example theres a greek player who plays in my server alot,his ping is around 350 to 450 all the time,he lags like hell but allways stays till the end,does pretty good to for such an unplayable ping:)
yeah it's true...the server send / receive packets from all clients every tick so if a client is very slow ( high ping ) , the server will spend more time on him.. I personally don't notice any big difference since the same netcode is crappy anyway but in cs many people complain about that but I think it's more about the fact that it's hard to kill a high ping in cs
