Windows XP vs Windows 7 (vista is not included)

This article is for those who still has XP running
and probably for those who just switched to 7...

well ...7 is crap ...thats my first word
I participated in its testing phase ... and had R2 version installed in 2009 for over 6 months ..
was kinda impressed ... stability was fine ..driver library was large enough to accomodate most of the harware i had...without extra search
but first wat striked me - is incompatibility build in with existing codexes ....after some search - found that microsoft wanted to rule those out...with own codeces

ok... i ditched the 7 in 2010 ..got back to XP ...but in 11 - i purchased fresh pair of new identical computers...
7 64bit was sure good choice...

i have it now still ...and im not happy..
microsoft put alot of work to try to disable third party software ...
primary - media codec's ... - mostly disabled...(but there is a way to re-enable it of coz)
im running it for about 1 year ...and in 1 year this dude just reseted it self by no reason ...few times...
i've lost my settings and half of my software function like cripple guy now ...popping up empty error boxes now and then ..
software partition restore is not working - it breaks up at 90% ..(lucky me that i could comeback to working OS)

ow ..and the multitasking ..
this been broken completely ...
with my XP and amd 4 core i could start 8 games ..and play 3 standard definition movies ..+ one of HD ...without pushing CPU to 30%...
with 7 - my sound starts to degrade when more than 4 games are open ...
degrading ? ...i mean it starts to have quality of phone conversation ...with someone calling from south pole ..covered by 2km of ice ..

one would say - DRIVERS ... i will say - 7 is crap ... and XP is better ...
so if you have XP ...KEEP IT !!!!!
DO NOT SWITCH TO 7 EVEN IF YOU HAVE GUN POINTED AT YOU !!!!!

I'm switching back to XP in short time when i have it ...
RIP 7...

It's all about what are you using your operating system for.

The last day I've had Windows XP installed was 2009.02.28. At 1st of March I've switched to Vista (though it wasn't that good ), and since July of 2009 Seven became my love forever

I don't use (at least, for now ;P) operating system for any "special" stuff, and I wanna call Windows 7 is perfect system, right now. : )

I'm happy with 7 as I said before, either. Using WMP ? He is using a lot of stuff for moviemaking, if you wanted to find a "noob user", well your choice is wrong D:

Btw I've had XP from 2004 until 2009, also used a bit Windows 2000 and my old childish love Windows 98 SE

Nah, I feel a lot of nostalgia rememberin' XP. ^__^ And I didn't say I didn't love it, well it was my love, too. )))
When I'll finally buy a new computer until the end of this year, I'm gonna install Windows XP on my old (the current one). x)

I had XP since 2002. I loved him, but in 2009 i tried a new Seven and i'm still happy with him. xD

Well, for me Vista is like an alpha version of Windows 7,
But when I've installed Vista RC1 at October of 2006 and when I've seen "aero", I've been totally shocked ... Like when I've seen Serious Sam: SE after Doom 2

LOL really? Why is vista not on the list????????????????? Oh people think its the worst OS ever... well maybe it was when first released but not with SP2. I still use it on my gaming computer, the lappy has Win7 though cause it has better battery power saving.. and xp sucks cause it doesn't have the PRO browser, IE9 (BTW i still hate that your site requires fuckingfox or poodle dome)

Sorry but... why don't you use linux distro for servers if u unhappy....

And sorry but... had xp since 2001 to 2011 and it just became... obsolete. For gaming, I need DirectX 11 (and not sucky mitations for XP ), and I find w7 faster and smoother. Dunno why you had all these troubles, I have downloaded w7 x86 on desktop and original w7 x64 on laptop and never had any kind of strange error or sth.

And btw, WMP works fine for listening musig and watching movies, so why shouldn't I use it?
