Since the new Windows was officialy released I decided to test it.
I ran Windows 8 (64-bit version) as a Virtual Machine and shared 2GB of my RAM.

It was working perfectly, even if it was minium amount of recommended RAM for x64 version. The installation itself didn't took longer than 5 mins and was identical to Windows 7's.
I was worrying about the new interface, people were saying only negative words about it. But i really liked the new metro design, it's clear and simple. You can switch between normal desktop and metro interface with only one click, so that's not a major problem for me. The most annoying this is - this OS was made for smartphones and for example you have to point your mouse to the right-top corner to make the options-menu show up and point to the left-top corner to switch between application, which is also a real pain in the ass for PC users. Gaining access to My Computer and Control Panel also takes some time I get used to the new interface and features after 30 mins, but for a person who's not into computer's world it can be a real problem (my Mom didn't knew how to shut-off the system ).
However, i must give a bug plus for booting time, it's generally faster than Windows 7. Of course, i would never change my current OS into this, but it's not that bad as people are complaining about
Have you tried it? Are you gonna buy it? Any opinions?
