what about the option "load pre defined parameters" for player controls? in classics we could load any profil controls for another profile so we could quickly set all our controls for all profiles, now we have to set every keys in each profile :/

Maybe I have to register the classic games in steam? they aren't registered after normal installation.

Two major improvements to work on:

1) Autodownloader: I don't know if it would be easy or not, but it's extremely slow... I tried to download a map from a server, there was a bit more than 1600 objects to download and it was downloading only one thing per second. Nobody will download custom files or maps if it's always that long.

2) Netcode: The netcode simply needs a major improvement. I don't know what happens but, the morning it works pretty fine, and later the afternoon we got more than 300ms, I even tryed on servers located in france, the same ping and red lags as on the other servers.

Downgrade to SSSE Classic's netcode if necessary, or ssrevo's network activity will die faster than our legendary old ss.

making available the possibility to set:

FOV: I personally really can't get used to that FE fov.. I think it'd be nice if we could be able to set it back as it was in the classic SE. This wouldn't provide any adventage. (Actually, it's the opposite since it would reduce the field of view.)

Sniper zoom speed: I've noticed the aim speed is lowered while we're zooming at the maximum with the sniper. It's very disturbing actually.. I think it'd be nice to have an option to enable/disable speed lowering for the zoom.
Some people who usually plays with a high sensitivity might like because it provides a better precision only when they're zooming, but for people like me who always uses slow sensitivity (on purpose) we don't need it to be even slower.

Is changing sounds, such the sniper fire sound, prohibited by VAC? I've uploaded on the Steam workshop a sound modification for the sniper but I kept it hidden until I know if it's allowed or not, I wouldn't want anyone to get vac banned because of a file i've uploaded on the workshop..

No, should be fine. Custom content is a game's responsibility to protect if it has the desire to, while external cheats such as wallhack/aimbot/etc will be detected by VAC and will get you banned.

For that matter, the only security we have is ser_bPure, which is much like Valve's sv_pure, except it's a little more limited in configuration.

For example: Change footsteps sound with stronger and more accurate = cheat imo ...custom files should be limited to custom models, maps, hud...etc.

/ser_bPure should be forced as enabled for all versus games by default
