Petition to make REV free

So, I talked again with the developers about Rev being free, and they said that all petitions should be sent to this email: info@croteam.com

Maybe we can make a change together, send petition to that email, maybe we can enjoy an active game

1. Why let it die completely, and let all of the AP work go to waste for a few measly bucks (I'd be surprised if it's generated 4 figures so far). Game Developer integrity . Croteam could show some love for your work and the gamers.
2. Keeping the Sam franchise alive in peoples heads until Sam 4 ..
3. .. in a good way. The paid release has spawned a lot of criticism from what I've read, because it is basically the same game as SS:Cs and SS:HDs. A terrible decision from a marketing standpoint and really anyone's standpoint who's interested in actually gaining some new players / establishing a player base.
4. Let's be serious (no pun intended): It's 2014, there are so many polished F2Ps / cheap games, why would anyone play/buy SS:R??? Because of the amazing trailer?? Yea right..... And even if SS:R was to become free, it's definitely no guarantee people are gonna stick with it. But right now, there's no way anyone's even gonna give it a chance (hell I know I wouldn't if I hadn't played SS:C for years).
5. Why not? The opportunity costs (more publicity for Sam, potential SS4 sales) should outweigh any potential revenue generated from SS:R sales by far in the long run.

I've kinda only repeated what BS already said, I hadn't seen his post.

We just need many of them. We really need to convince them to make it free, otherwise it's doomed to die.

It sucks that they didn't make this free since start, but maybe we can make change if we get enough petitions.

I just don't want to see classic dying like this.

My post isn't exactly the most formal either hehe

On the other hand, there are very few people left that would sign such a petition. So.. Let's say Croteam receives 20 emails. Looking at active players numbers, that's not too shabby. But do they know this? Or are they expecting 100+ mails? If Devs are officially supporting this, we should also post a thread on steam forums (Formal, explaining the situation, yadda yadda).

It was a 50% off for the first week of release, as announced.

samrev is the last game on steam id spend this money on..

Steam summer sales will look like that:
- all awesome new games for free or 1€.
-Serious sam rev 7€.
This is how its gonna look. Another good reason why they should make this game free is that battlefield 3 is free now on origin. I know that we have battlefield 4 now, but:

battlefield is older game and there is a newer version so they gave it for free now.
SS rev even that its released recently it should be considered as old game and for example ss se hd or ss3 is a new game. So rev should be for free.

how much rev games were sold on steam now? 1000 each for ~ 6€ thats a waterdrop on a hot stone for every developer but a bonus they get totally for free so they should give the bonus back to us and make the game for free and everyone is happy
