Actually I live in Norway and I don't have enough time to join the community cause of jobs and some other things that at the moment I cannot explane to you all.
Anyway I just show up to let you know something that I read some days ago, but ofc for someone could be interesting and for someone else just boring nowadays.

Anyway hope to be more active and talk with some my old friends.

Sam 4 news! Screenwriters confirmed!


We are proud to announce that Jonas and Verena Kyratzes will be writing screenplay for Serious Sam 4! As you know, we already worked with Jonas on our critically acclaimed title The Talos Principle, and now we decided to extend the scope of our relationship to our beloved Serious Sam franchise. But Jonas brought in his secret weapon in form of Verena Kyratzes, and they both started shaping the story into something really awesome (not to say “blockbuster-y”).

And yeah, since ss revo is the biggest fuck up i've ever seen (if this game was more popular, i think alot of yt game "critics" would have bashed this so hard), ss 4 is where support should go

dunno..but somehow im not enthusiastic about this announcement ..i can't imagine it's going to be as good as i wish. we should write Croteam a letter and tell them what the community wants to be included in the upcoming game, like:

- mad jumptricks
- rocket jumping
- colored nicknames
etc.

because things like this made sam unique from other shooters. i personally would like to see some funny secrets in coop again, too.

to be fair ss3 was a step in the right direction, in my opinion, (compared to ss2/HDs) although i doubt Croteam will manage to make ss4 as good as TSE is without community's suggestions, especially DM.

Agreed..

I also like TSE maps much more compared to Serious Sam 3, so much variety and different styles (medieval times style maps, persian style maps, ect). The maps look much more interesting and not the same "mass". In HD also they somehow managed to take the magic away from it, and the gameplay in 3rd person looks worse in my opinion.

I doubt I will buy SS4, can't expect much from that game. Also Croteam's decisions regarding Revolution sucked hard, like make it cost, it should've totally been free, that way they could've gained popularity, especially now that SS4 is coming out (more people would've known about Serious Sam, and it would have increased sales for sure, if Rev would've been playable). It also wouldn't have taken much from them to help Angelo make it playable. Angelo also didn't care what commununity said, stopped to care about the whole project, and look what happened.. Revo had so much potential but all wasted.

To have a good deathmatch again, SS 4 must get some new experienced DM players as beta testers, like when they had Zeb before TFE HD release (how he became a tester of it, does anyone know ?). Let's remember TSE HD, if we would have closed eyes on a new physics, it could be an awesome game, it's just missing 3 things which are really important for me personally: 1) freecam - without it impossible to make a fragmovie - the thing which makes me play often 2) switcher of players view in demos - without it impossible to learn new things whilst watching other players 3) colored tags - this was the most sweet thing in TSE classic . Also SS 4 will need a free demo version with multiplayer again to become more active than TSE HD.

I don't doubt that the campaign is going to be amazing, they've promised to get best things from each SS game; so I really wait for Serious Sam 4, whatever happens to DM.
