both works, but if you play the retail (original CD non steam version) you gotta update your game with the masterserver patch to access the server list since GameSpy are dead

However Ostap is banning Maxou's IP from his masterserver so our servers cannot be visible.. we're working on contacting Croteam about this subject

on a side note: necessary money has been reached, however there are still server admin spots to claim - I still take donations to cover the fees for next months
