if that's the case, for me ideal for gaming would be 1080/1440 and 120hz, but 144 is advertised more, imo it's not big difference between both refresh rates.

I use 1080p 144 Hz on RX 5700 XT... I opted for 1080p because personally I don't need more, and also looking at this card it performed around 70-80 fps range at 1440p in most newer games on Highest Settings... so I just use High settings but on 1080p to get around 110-120 in them and so it feels really smooth and uses more of the potential of this monitor. Also took 144 Hz because 120 is really rare here, but would not mind taking 120 especially since it can be cheaper than 144)
Speaking of this card it was a nightmare before... drivers were shit but they fixed this already and it is stable, well... some older unsupported games can crash it but meh, better than crashing/BSOD by just looking at the desktop.
(Oh yeah, speaking of crashes in older games - just today Crysis 2 got a corrupted save or something... when I load it, it just crashes the driver and the game every single time so now the only option is to start a new game, because these fags made only Auto-save available instead of a Save-Load function... SS3 can also crash if you take screenshot in Steam while overriding Anti-Aliasing in Radeon Settings and has a crappy framerate... and maybe others that I cant remember, and NO Classic -almost the oldest one from all here- runs totally fine lol)
so its true, i heard many bad rumors about 5700 xt before, what version do you have?
anyway, i am going for the 5700 non xt asap, the msi mech version is super small and even fits in my itx build, then probably going for 240Hz 1080p monitor, cuz sex

I have Sapphire Pulse, and it was but no longer true) the card is really amazing, but you need to look around first coz some even custom cooling solution models have heating problems, I would say Sapphire is good on that... and not even talking about reference model LOL that thing is an oven
I have 32" 1440p 144hz Perfect for gaming is 24-27" 1080p 144hz over 27" WQHD 1440p 144hz. You dont need 240hz wtf? Buy a monitor with VA panel because have better color![]()
i know i have a vega 64 reference too, its complete trash.. xD
my hitrate in several games increased by a huge margin thanks to 144Hz, CS, Overwatch and Fornite were much easier to play and it was alot of more fun to play these games too. I guess playing on 240hz brings me closer to reality - the only bottleneck you should have at gaming is your own reaction in my opinion but not the hardware.
I dont need true colors on my gaming monitor as i use Photoshop on Apple devices anyway and i gotta admit my current acer monitor with 144 Hz has great colors for a gaming monitor if i compare it to others
