Even though I don't play QC anymore, I still enjoy watching various tourneys. Quake Champions is an exceptionally enjoyable game to watch imo, I wish it has a much bigger player base, which it truly deserves.

You should've watched older Quake Live duel tournaments, which were played during QuakeCon event in Dallas, TX, USA (afair it was Dallas, but not sure) - especially commentator reactions at the peak situations.

I remember Z00t almost pissed in pants after seeing Rapha scoring a frag at 0:02 seconds (2 seconds before game end) so overtime was added and he finally won the finals (Evil lead with one frag before the peak situation). So these to freaking seconds decided about Raphas victory or loss.

I watched that and my heartbeat went skyhigh and I went like haha what the actual fuck. Quake live tournaments played at QuakeCon were always entertaining.

He actually scored two frags in 16 seconds (where one of them was made 0:02 seconds before game end). It was 2-0 until 9:44.

I've watched quite a lot of QL tournaments back in the day. One of my all-time favourites would be Cypher vs DaHang from QuakeCon 2014 Grand Final. Cypher was losing quite badly at the beginning of the first map Aerowalk, and later on had an unbelievable comback and dominated through the rest of the game, which allowed him to taung DaHang with comments like 'u rush too much' the whole grand final was a one big adrenaline rush.

I watched all Quakecon QL tourneys. I remember this one. Cypher is a showman, very "chilled out" style.
