My problem is more the second hand market in france, people always buy new but don't buy much used stuff, what you can sell 150€ elsewhere you can barely sell it 40~50 bucks here, if you raise your prices too much, people will think it's not worth and will prefer buying new, or find someone that sells at an even lower price. French people are really hard in business xD

My cousin is much younger than me and is still studying, this side of familly is rather poor financially so I'd like to help him having decent stuff to play his fortnite elsewhere than on a crappy playstation
I've gotten him into PC gaming but affording such a computer is absolutely out of price for him

Can't do anything about it because of his budget. I didn't want to put a crappy low end PSU or cheapest case just for the sake of better CPU. The answer is below.

I've checked the tests and it ain't that bad in games. Such setup can run Witcher III on highest settings with 60+ fps which is enough for 60Hz monitor. It means that this CPU ain't that bad.

He also told me that when he has more cash, he will replace it for high-end Ryzen 7 cpu. This is a good idea. The actual components will cary it with ease and replacing a cpu with some decent cooler is a 10-15 minutes work.

    AMD Ryzen 5 3600X *
    Asus Strix B450-F Gaming *
    Asus Dual RTX 2070 Super
    Asus Xonar Essence STX II
Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Series 32Gb *(adding 2x8gb)
    Corsair Force MP510 960Gb (x2)
    Corsair iCUE 220T RGB *
Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO RGB *
    Corsair TX650M 80PLUS Gold *

So this is the full specs of my PC refresh, I should get pieces between thirsday and saturday, should be done by sunday. Total pieces (*) price: 700€
I got some stuff to sell so I should easly get 250€ back which makes the total price at 450€.

I was not satisfied with Thermaltake's products, those are doing the job absolutely right though, but for example the case (Level 20 MT ARGB ) front panel cannot be removed which makes the tempered glass particularly difficult to clean. Thermaltake's RGB lights are not homogenous and doesn't fit with my Corsair's RAM, so I decided to change everything and get it all from Corsair and benefit of the iCue.
Changing the CPU/Mobo was not necessary but I still did it because we'll get nothing better (or worth getting) before at least 2 years, those will allow me to use the full 3000mhz of my RAM and will handle some games and sotfwares such as Vegas much better. Changing the PSU was not necessary aswell but heh, I said everything from Corsair
Like I said i'm gonna give my old stuff to my cousin so he just has a case and a GPU to buy.

Expecting 22 or 23K points from those specs at 3DMark

    3700X costs 310€ + add 60 € cooler = much better performance same money

    waiting for firestrike results

I don't know how's the temp of ryzen cpus, i'm gonna OC it as much as I can and my i5 7600K would easly go above 80°c with a 240mm cooler so... the bigger the better, by the way I want total silence which is why the big cooler's gonna help (more fans but lower rpm)

I looked at userbench for the differences between the 3600K and the 3700X and for me the difference was so small that it didn't justify paying twice the price of the 3600X to get the 3700X

I don't think so, the radiator is quite hot on full load and it's mounted dirrectly on an extraction grate, lot of hot air going off... I think those i5 were just heaters. Now it depends what do you play but it was the case when I played the latest Need For Speed, other games don't demand too much ressources so the cpu doesn't heat that much, also you can surely keep low temps if your fans works at 2000 rpm but like I said I want total silence, not plane turbines, which is why I don't mind taking a few more degrees if I can make my machine as stealth as possible

Btw, these B450 mobos don't have so many expansion connectors as X570 mobos do. I've checked all available mobos. Most of them don't have angled SATA ports and none of the B450 boards have more than 4 sata ports. Most of the boards have 2 memory slots only. The most expensive B450 mobos are close to cheapest X570 prices and they still don't offer as much as x570 boards.

Same goes for built in USB ports directly on the back panel of mobo. - most of them have max 4x USB 2.0 or 4x USB 3.0, where x570 boards have like 8-10 of them and almost 100% of them are USB 3.2...

For me this sucks because I need min 6 sata ports for many hdd/ssd drives and many USB ports on the back (min 7) (alot of external stuff like backup drives, peripherals and so on)

Ofcourse you can purchase additional sata controllers, usb HUBs but if you want quality stuff, you will prolly pay similar amount for B450+needed controllers/hubs comparing to X570 board.

You may ask me why didn't I get faster ryzen and cheaper cooler? Will cheaper cooler provide me the silence I want? Will it deliver me high cooling efficiency while being silent? Ofcourse not.

Why did you go for TX650 instead of RM650? The RM is fully modular, whereas TX is not and those are nearly identical when it comes to price
